• Wash cloth napkins:

To keep your napkins bright and vibrant, wash them every few uses. Use cold or tap water and a mild detergent. This will keep your napkins fresh and be gentle on the fabric.

  • Dry cloth napkins:

We recommend hang or line drying all of the styles on ONE Napkin. Not only will this minimize the CO2 emitted during the care of your eco-friendly napkins, but it will also keep the colors vivid and rich.

  • Care for linen napkins:

Go one step further to protect your linen napkins by hand washing them in cold tap water, then line dry. Linen has a delicate texture and weave and this extra step will keep them fresher, longer.

How to get stains out of your napkins:

The best meals are a little messy.

Here’s how we get out some of the most commons stains on our napkins:

Collapsible content

Wine

Dab (don’t rub!) the stain with a solution of half white vinegar and half water.

Grease

Sprinkle baking soda on the stain, let it sit for 5 minutes, then brush off before washing.

Tomato Sauce

Soak the stain in cold water for 5 minutes, then apply a bit of dish soap and rinse thoroughly.

Coffee

Blot the stain and apply a paste of baking soda and water to the stain. Let sit for 5-10 minutes and rinse with cold water.

Ink

Dab hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol onto the stain, blot again to absorb the ink, and rinse thoroughly with cold water.

How to store cotton and linen napkins:

To keep your napkins clean and wrinkle-free, store them in a cool, dry place. Fold them neatly and stack them to prevent creases. For extra protection, place them in a breathable cotton storage bag—just like the one we designed for your ONE Napkin order.
